Description
For your consideration is a February 1977 Seiko 7016-7000 Flyback Chronograph. This is a very unique and short-lived model that was in production for only 6 months between February and July of 1977.
Condition
The watch is completely original unto itself and is in very good cosmetic condition. The case shows age and wear commensurate with a 45 year old watch but is in great condition for the age. The dial is original to the watch and has a date stamp with the same year and month as the case date (72). The dial has the subtle light blue text in the sub-register and the matching fifth, hour recording hand, that contrasts the bright orange chronograph hand — a very unique style. The dial and hands retain the factory applied luminous material. The hands reset exactly to their vertical positions. Bracelet is the factory original and is full length. The crystal is a NOS Seiko replacement.

I serviced this watch on 05/01/2022. That process includes a full cleaning and evaluation of all movement components and proper lubrication. Lubricants used were Moebius synthetic varieties appropriate for this watch movement type. The amplitude numbers are 250-270 range and the rate is +/- 2 sec/day. The case back, pushers and crown all have new, and factory correct seals.
