For your consideration is a March 1974 6138-8020 “Panda” Automatic Chronograph — perhaps one of the most desirable Vintage Seikos. The body of the watch including the dial, hands, case, and all mechanical components are all original. It comes on an original Z027 Seiko bracelet.
Width (L-to-L): 51mm
Lug width: 19mm
The watch is completely original unto itself and I would rate the cosmetic condition as very good. The dial and hands are original to the watch and the dial back has a date stamp that is two months prior to the case stamp (41 — see images). The dial is the most amazing champagne linen pattern with the beautiful off-green sub-dials with some minor tropical coloration near the center. The dial and hands retain the very clean factory applied lume. The hands reset exactly to their vertical positions. The crystal is a new acrylic Sternkreuz, which is an exact reproduction.
I serviced this watch on 08/31/2022. That process includes a full cleaning and evaluation of all movement components and proper lubrication. Lubricants used were Moebius synthetic varieties appropriate for this watch movement type. The amplitude values are 240-250 range and the rate is +/- 2 sec/day. The case back, pushers and crown all have new, and factory correct seals.
This watch comes with a 100% money back promise of originality and a 1-year limited warranty on the movement from the time of sale. Shipping is to CONUS through USPS 2-day. International buyers must contact me for a shipping quote.
