Description

For your consideration is a May 1976 6105-8119 diver — otherwise known as the “Captain Willard”. This is perhaps the most highly sought after Seiko diver’s watch. All components are original to the watch. The crystal is a Klein Type III . The watch comes with a new waffle band from Uncle Straps. I will also include the replaced upper mainspring bushing, original crystal, case, bezel and the crown seals that were replaced. The dial and hands on this watch are in excellent condition.

Condition

I would rate the cosmetic condition as very good/excellent. The case has the original surface brushing on the upper surface and has not been polished; retaining all of its case lines with minor wear commensurate with the age. The dial and hands are in very good condition and retain their original luminous material. The case back and dial dates are separated by one month (64, 65).

Service and Warranty

This watch has received a full service. That process includes a full cleaning and evaluation of all movement components and proper lubrication. The crown was mechanically rebuilt to replace the o-ring gasket.  Lubricants used were Moebius synthetic varieties appropriate for this watch movement type. The movement has two custom produced, American made jewels in the ports of the barrel arbor. The amplitude of the balance wheel is 230-240 range and the rate is (+/-) 2 sec/day. The case back and crown all have new, and factory correct seals. This watch comes with a 100% money back promise of originality and a 1-year limited warranty on the movement from the time of sale. Shipping is to CONUS through USPS 2-day.
