Description

For your consideration is a June 1971 6139-6000 Proof/Proof “Cevert” Automatic Chronograph. All components are original to this watch including the hands, dial, case, crown, pushers, and all mechanical components. The bracelet is a Stelux solid oval-link which is what many from the Austral-Asia watches came on. This also retains its original two part sweep second hand, which are often replaced through service.

Condition

The dial a beautiful early-70’s matte blue with the very desirable Proof text found on the earliest notch case watches. Not a SpeedTimer, so an export model. The hands are in perfect and unscratched condition and the lume on both the dial and hands is flawless and original. The dial and case back date stamps are separated by three months. The case has not been polished and shows all of the original surface brushing and high polish edges.  The hands reset exactly to their vertical positions. The crystal is a new Klein Hardlex glass replacement.
