Description
For your consideration is a July 1970 6139-6000 “Proof-Proof” Automatic Chronograph wristwatch. This is a rare transitional notch-case with a two-part chronograph sweep hand with the 6139-A movement.
Condition
The watch presents as very original unto itself and I would rate the cosmetic condition as a 8.0/10. The case is unpolished and retains original and sharp lines and brushing on the upper surface. The hands are in good condition and retain their original lime, however the dial makers have been relumed. The watch comes on an original and full length Seiko straight H-link bracelet. The dial has a few minor imperfections such as slightly mottled texture near the 10-11 markers and a slight loss of the “R” in the Chronograph text. Otherwise, the condition is very good.

Service and Warranty
I serviced this watch on 12/31/2021. That process includes a full cleaning and evaluation of all movement components and proper lubrication. Lubricants used were Moebius synthetic varieties appropriate for this watch movement type. The dial date is (06 — I’m holding it upside down in the image), and within one month of case back date (07). I installed two custom produced, American made jewels in the ports of the barrel arbor. The amplitude of the balance wheel is 240-250 range and the rate is (+/-) 2 sec/day. The case back, chronograph pushers and crown all have new, and factory correct seals and it has a new Hardlex crystal. This watch comes with a 100% money back promise of originality and a 1-year limited warranty on the movement from the time of sale.
