Description
For your consideration is a June 1971 6139-6005 “Blue Pogue” or “Cevert” Automatic Chronograph. All components are original to this watch including the hands, dial, case, crown, pushers, and all mechanical components. The bracelet is a tapered H-link from a slightly newer model, but is original to a “Pogue” style 6139.
Condition
The dial a beautiful early-70’s matte blue with the very desirable Resist text that is identical to the yellow dial Pogues from the same era. The hands are in perfect and unscratched condition and the lume on both the dial and hands is flawless and original. The dial and case back date stamps are from the same month. The case has not been polished and shows all of the original surface brushing and high polish edges. The hands reset exactly to their vertical positions. The crystal is a new Klein Hardlex glass replacement. The dial has a slight flaw around the hour hand where you can see some slight wear from something being rubbed on the dial surface. This is very hard to notice without high magnification.
